XPR-3
The Maravilloso Race XPR-3 wheel system features XERO flat stainless spokes that slice through the wind like a hot knife through butter. It creates similar effects as a disc wheel against the airflow from straight ahead, which has been proven to be very effective in the wind tunnel tests. But it does not create drag like a disc wheel when side wind is introduced.
For SGD300+, these wheels are one of the best you can get for it’s price.
It is stiff enough for most people. However, the hubs seem to have a design problem. The bearings don’t feel smooth even after running in and the bearings seem to wear out pretty quickly. I’m guessing the water resistance feature of the hubs are not very well designed.
The heavy weight (~1.7kg) makes this wheel feel sluggish with slow acceleration.
