7800 is the standard which other groupset/components is compared against.
Brakes hails as the best brake that has superb modulation.
Crank is the benchmark for stiffness and weight.
Shifting for both front and rear is the standard which Campy and SRAM is always constantly trying to match.
Now for the cons.
Crank Hollowtech 2 is light and stiff, but the BB although durable, is not exactly the smoothest.
Front D tends to peel and corrode after a few months.
Shifter cables that is ‘exposed’.
Overall, very good value for money groupset, especially after 7900 was launched.
